Jarhead-Prepper is a graduate of the Marine Corps School of Infantry and served in the Marine Corps infantry from 1995 - 2003, with two overseas deployments with 1st Battalion 2nd Marine Division, Special Operations to ; Mediterranean Sea to include, Spain, France, Portugal, Italy and Greece. Africa to include; Sierra Leone, Democratic Republic of Congo and Tunisia. South America to include: Columbia, Venezuela, Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Ecuador. Central America to include; Costa Rica, Panama, Panama Canal. Caribbean Sea to include; Puerto Rica. Jarhead-Prepper is also a graduate of Chattahoochee Technical College with a degree in Drafting & Mechanical Design. Jarhead-Prepper attended University of Phoenix with an emphasis in Business.
Jarhead-Prepper began learning about preparedness when enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1995 as an Infantry Rifleman. It was not until 2004, when Jarhead-Prepper started prepping after experiencing a direct hit from hurricane Charley while living in the Orlando, Florida area. Surviving the hurricane taught Jarhead-Prepper the importance of preparations and the desire for becoming more prepared for natural and manmade disasters.

Jarhead-Prepper has attended desert survival training in Death Valley, California. Also attending cold weather survival in Virginia and Mountain Survival in Northern California. Jarhead-Prepper has worked in Executive Protection providing security for military and Hollywood elite with such companies as Dream Works and General Dynamics. Jarhead-Prepper has also worked in the Mechanical Engineering Design industry helping to design mechanical systems for hospitals, retail, prisons and military naval vessels.
